Simple drag-and-drop converter for PostScript files on macOS

convertPS2PDF restores the conversion of PostScript files (PS/EPS) to PDF after this functionality was removed from Apple's Preview application.

Simply drag and drop a PostScript file onto the application window. The generated PDF is saved in the same folder as the original file.

Requirements

Ghostscript is required to convert PostScript files to PDF.

Ghostscript is a standalone software package for processing PostScript and PDF files, developed by Artifex Software, Inc.

convertPS2PDF does not include any Ghostscript components and does not distribute Ghostscript.

When started, convertPS2PDF automatically checks whether Ghostscript is installed on your system. If no installation is found, the program informs you and provides installation assistance.

On macOS, the application checks whether the Homebrew package manager is installed. If Homebrew is available, the official Ghostscript installation page is opened. Otherwise, you are first directed to the official Homebrew website.

Once Ghostscript has been installed, the PDF conversion feature is immediately available without any additional configuration.

convertPS2PDF is an independent application and has no business or organizational affiliation with Artifex Software, Inc.

Ghostscript is used solely as an external program for converting PostScript files and is not part of convertPS2PDF.
