Important notes for "Family Ties" under linux!
I have tested "Family Ties" under Ubuntu 9.10 . Generally speaking, the software functions. However, some features do not work, or work differently than under OS X or Windows.
Known Issues:
Fonts
I
am not sure which distribution
uses which font as its standard. Therefore, I offer 2 or 3 variants for
the presets. This should guarantee a readable display. If necessary,
fonts and font sizes can be adapted in settings.
Please
report any peculiarities or bugs with Linux to me. As I am not a Linux
user, I depend on your observations for troubleshooting.
In the case of failures (not being trapped by "Family Ties"):
It
is also possible to start Familienbande over the panel (terminal).
Then, if errors occur details for the errors will be given - so far
nearly all times related to GLib and Gtk. Here, the system requirements
should be checked (see below).
